What is EPS?
Expanded Polystyrene, or EPS for short, is an economical, versatile, lightweight, rigid, plastic foam insulation material produced from solid beads of polystyrene. The end product is made up of fine spherical cells that comprise 98% air.
EPS has a very high strength to weight ratio that, dependant on the density, offers exceptional compressive and flexural strength and dimensional stability characteristics.
EPS can be moulded or shaped to meet almost any requirement.

With energy efficiency and sustainability becoming increasingly important in the building industry, light-weight polystyrene wall cladding is a fast and effective method of construction.
EPS wall cladding, also known as Exterior Insulated Finishing Systems (EIFS), is suitable for upper storey construction, residential extensions, commercial construction and also curved wall applications. Polystyrene panels come in a range of thicknesses including 50mm, 75mm or 100mm in M or H grade classification. Specific grades and thicknesses have different thermal R-values for a variety of building applications.
Finishing Coats are suppliers and qualified installers of BRAC accredited light-weight expanded polystyrene panels. The EPS walling system is highly durable and resistant to movement, thermally efficient – therefore reducing energy costs, acoustically effective and all panels are 100% recyclable.
Our EPS building systems are guaranteed for 7 years and our workmanship is carried out in accordance with Australian Standards. Expanded polystyrene core walling systems allow for an optimal rendered finish.

EPS Panels can be installed on the various substrates;

-Timber Stud

-Steel Stud

Thermal Properties

-High Thermal Rating…

-The 75mm EPS panel is on average three times more thermally efficient than that of standard brick veneer construction.
